Lance Mueller &
Associates is a professional service corporation providing architectural
and planning services, with offices located at the Leschi Marina on Lake Washington.
The firm was established in 1959 by the late Richard Bouillon as Richard Bouillon
& Associates. The name was changed to Lance Mueller & Associates in 1975. The
population of the office is twenty-one, including eleven licensed architects.
Mr. Mueller is the sole stockholder and officer of the corporation. He was educated
at the University of Washington and began his professional career in 1967. He
joined Richard Bouillon & Company in 1970 as a project architect. When Mr. Bouillon
died in 1973, Mr. Mueller assumed full responsibility and ownership of the firm.
Mr. Mueller is personally involved in conceptual design and design development
of many projects, as well as client contact throughout, and overall office administration.
He is presently licensed in many Western States, and holds a certificate from
the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is a member of
the American Institute of Architects and Lambda Alpha, an honorary land economics
organization.
The firm has design experience in a wide range of project types. During recent
years the emphasis has been in general commercial projects and industrial facilities.
LMA provides a comprehensive scope of architectural planning, space planning,
and tenant improvement design services in conjunction with the areas top consultants.
Years of experience and hundreds of projects have proven LMA to be a responsive
and efficient firm, capable of successfully solving a wide variety of design
problems, on time and within established budgets.
Generally, services consist of programming project requirements, developing
design solutions, providing cost estimates and project development procedure
assistance, preparation of construction documents and providing construction
phase administration.
LMA enjoys a steady workload with little formal marketing effort. Nearly
all new work is generated by requests from previous clients or by referral within
the real estate development and construction industry.
Less than 5% of LMA projects are bid to select groups of contractors.
The remainder are either negotiated or architect/contractor design/build team
projects. During the last few years, total hard construction cost of projects
designed and completed has been well in excess of $100,000,000.00 per year.
